Trump's Granddaughter Gets Expert Advice from Golf Legend Woods Prior to LPGA First Appearance
This young athlete maintains considerable social media following
Kai Trump will have multiple prominent backers when she starts her professional golf debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is connected to a former US president, obtained a tournament invitation to compete at the Annika tournament in Florida.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, possesses multiple golf courses and often matches against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we play competitive games," she stated.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who won't be present, counseled her: "Simply stay calm."
"He basically suggested to play and relax," she explained.
"To me, he's simply a normal grandpa. He can't make it for the tournament. He's focused on running the country, making him rather occupied."
As an amateur, the golfer has participated in a mere three competitions this year and has the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
Yet she can seek guidance from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with her mother.
"He represents the best player worldwide," the young golfer said.
"Furthermore, he's a more impressive individual. He advised me to compete, relax, adapting to whatever happens."
Kai will face multiple top competitors in professional golf at the competition, including world number two the champion, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Officials mentioned that Kai's presence exposes golf to wider groups, particularly reaching younger fans.
Kai maintains substantial online presence and recently launched her own fashion and living brand.
Her first tee time at late afternoon GMT.
