A senior officer who rushed to the aid of a fellow officer that got attacked by a knife attacker has been awarded the King's Commendation for Courage.
Sgt Tim Ansell struggled against 27-year-old Jacob Brown after he held a weapon to the throat of his colleague Sgt Marc Foster.
